Awards

Thank you to my new blogging friend Betty at Cut and Dry for passing on a couple of awards! The Sunshine Award is meant to be passed on to 12 of your favorite bloggers and the rules for "The Versatile Blogger" award are as follows:

1. Thank the person who gave you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic!
4. Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.

I'm going to handle this in the same way that Petty Witter did over at
Pen and Paper when she was tagged not long ago. Rather than pass these along to anyone specific, I invite any of you that are regular readers of my blog to feel free to pick up the awards and pass them along. If you don't want to do that, then at least share 7 things about yourself in the comments!! Here are mine:

1. I got my private pilot's license when I was first married.
2. My favorite breed of dog is the rottweiler.
3. Even though I like chocolate, I usually prefer vanilla.
4. Despite being a hunter, I spent 8 years as a vegetarian.
5. I learned to water-ski when I was 5 years old.
6. I prefer hot tea to coffee.
7. My favorite cuisine is Tex-Mex or Mexican

Well done on those much deserved awards. I had no idea about your private pilots licence, how exciting.

Mmmm...Tex-Mex...you just reminded me that I'm hungry. Fajitas sounds good.

Congratulations on your awards.

Congrats. Let's see, my time for blogging has been limited lately, so I've got to with the 15 things:

1. My son has been calling me "pasta" rather than "papa" for a couple of months.

2. Moving into a house in two weeks.

3. My car is embarrassingly cluttered lately.

4. I'm worried this list is not interesting in the slightest.

5. Been folding up letters into envelope-size and mailing them that way, seems to work.

6. Are we at seven yet?

Having a 5-year-old in my life now, I'm very impressed that you could water ski at that age!!! I can't even fathom my son being able to pull that off!
