Mooooo!

I came home from Bible study today to find a note on the counter:

"Gone to get cow food. Be home ASAP"

Something about that just made me smile. I never dreamed 30 years ago I would live in the country, enjoy hunting and fishing, and have livestock.

Life is good!

I'm the opposite. I grew up with livestock and have no desire to own them now. I wouldn't mind living in the country again, though.

Did you wish upon a star?

My word verification is 'perkboot'. It's like a work boot but it makes you happy. Are you wearing perkboots, Kelly?

That's so cute..."cow food!" It's good to be in your dream place, isn't it?

But don't cows eat grass????

You can tell I don't live in the country!

Debby - no... not perkboots, but my next post will tell you what kind of boots I AM wearing!

Jenners - they eat grass in the summer, but the grass dies off in the fall so they have to eat other stuff. We use cow food (of which there are lots of varities) and hay. Good question, though!

I made my way to a blog that I REALLY love.
I love, love that you live in the country. You're so lucky, Kelly!
And thanks so much for your most generous comments on my blog, my friend! It means the absolute world!

Big hugs!

Ah! All fields should have cattle in them! (Unless they are corn fields).

No, you never dreamed it and I would not have dreamed it for you. I probably pictured you in an art studio somewhere because you could draw so well.

A few years ago, after we dropped Maggie at college, Susan and I were driving a pickup truck in the night through humid Alabama and I had a similar sentiment -- who would have ever thought?!
