***** CONTROVERSY ALERT! *****
I imagine the majority of my blog readers are not in agreement with me on gun rights issues. So, I apologize if this post is offensive to any of you. That said, I was pleased with today's ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court. For those who are interested, click here for the story.

LOL! I thought about you when I heard it. Knew you'd be pleased.
I'm with you, Kelly. YEA!! Blessings!
5-4, the narrowest of majorities, but that's all it takes. It's mind boggling how the make-up of the Supreme Court has such a significant impact.
Something we will have to agree to disagree on Kelly.
Its actually quite difficult for me to comment on this issue not living in a country where guns are legally allowed (even our police are not usually armed) and not fully understanding all the issues involved. We are beginning to have a problem with knife crime here in England and I must admit to worrying that guns will follow.
I don't have a quick thumbs up or thumbs down about the ruling, but even if I disagreed with you, I would not be offended. As you probably know, I think citizens SHOULD discuss and debate these things, learn to disagree agreeably, and start thinking outside of the box together instead of leaving it to the politicians and talking heads.
So good for you. I wish you'd post more of your own thoughts about it. That's my two cents.
Well, no, I don´t get it. In Denmark no ordinary family owns a gun, and I can´t see at all why we should. And if anyone burgled our house, he would not be armed either - because guns are so difficult to get here that only a few subcultures have them.
But offended - no. Just puzzled.
I'm running behind on comments....but I was totally in agreement with the court. It scares me that it was only 5 to 4. We have to be careful who gets on the Supreme Court for the next couple of years. As for owning guns....I made a 180 degree turn in the past few years mainly because of increased crime but also because of the current administration. Within the city limits of Little Rock (less than 200,000) we have 50 to 60 murders every year. And, studies now show that violent crime is actually on the decline in this country in states that have concealed carry laws.
