Last night I finished the third and final book in Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy. I thought the first book was good, but I really liked the second and third! The Swedish names and places slowed me down just a bit at first (I'm bad about trying to correctly pronounce things in my mind when reading), but soon worked through that issue. Rather than try and review these books myself, I'll direct you to a couple of bloggers who have already done a good job of that. Jenners recently devoted an entire week to the series, but this post and this post are especially good. Danish blogger Dorte has quite a few interesting posts relating to Larsson and the series which you can read here. I highly recommend these books, so check out the links I provided and see what you think.

I am glad you liked the series, and thank you for highlighting my posts. I really enjoyed writing the article about Lisbeth Salander and Pippi Longstocking.
There supposed violent nature has put me off, however, now recommended by three of my favourite bloggers I may well have to read them.
Glad to know you finally got my letter. I hope it was fairly legible.
I'm still on the last book. Life keeps getting in the way of my reading! So far, I'm enjoying it. Great post, Kelly. (We got lots of much needed rain here today for our gardens.) Blessings!
I'm with you ... Book 1 was OK but I really started getting into it in book 2 and 3. For me, the series kept getting better and I got more and more invested with each book.
Thanks for the shout out ... I hope it lives up to your kind words.
I've got one of the books in one of my to-read piles. I read a really interesting article recently about how they were published after his death by his family and the legal battle being waged by his father and brother with his long-time partner.
Some even wonder if she wrote some of the books. ( not all, just with him).
Great reading! I slowed down on 2nd book because I want to have the 3rd by the time I finish 2nd. I am so sad that he died. I read that he was planning 10 in that series.
Almost Done! I enjoyed Book 1 more than Book 2.
My reviews of the first two are at:
