Frozen precipitation is not an every winter occurance for us and when we do get it, it's usually in the form of freezing rain or sleet. I'm not a big fan of winter, but I do think the occasional snowfall is pretty.... especially when it goes away quickly like this one is doing. I'm sure many of you are sick of winter weather and looking at snow pictures is the last thing you want to do. Or, perhaps you're scoffing at our scant snowfall. Please bear with me, though. As one who rarely gets the fluffy white stuff, I had to post the obligatory photos for my friends and relatives.
Oh, and you might be entertained to know my husband said the cows had icicles hanging off their ears. Wish I'd gotten a photo of that!

You know, if you have to have frozen precipitation, it's good to have snow rather than they icy stuff to which you are much more accustomed. I am tired of snow this year but it is still beautiful to look at. Great pictures and I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted.
Supposed to be in the 60s here next week! YEA!
We got a little ice, but not much this time. But our dog loves the cold, too. He just begged to stay out in the last ice storm. Great pics, Kelly! xoxo
The dogs, for the most part, looked very nonchalant!

Love the snow pics and the snow pups!!!! You know I always love snow pics!
Since my driveway and backyard fact North I still have a slick path to the garage and ice and snow from the alley and in the backyard.
I love the shot of the two dogs: they look like bookends.
I love the photos - especially the doggy ones. How do they manage to sit in the snow?
We don’t get much snow here either.
Have a nice day, Boonie
Glad you finally got some real snow. Little Rock had 6 inches this time around and my son John had 18 inches at his apartment in Fayetteville and got to a record minus 18F the other morning. Some areas of NW Arkansas got 2 feet of snow and the airport dropped to minus 21F. I may actually be ready for Spring this year.
Mike - I'm glad you let me know that was really you instead of Claire. I was wondering if John knew he had become her son instead of brother! Ha! Amazing how cold NWA got!!
Boonie - The dogs didn't seem fazed by the snow. They all have thick, heavy coats. Suzy doesn't, but she tends to sit on her haunches where her bottom never touches the ground. (We had a Catahoula mix once that sat the same way and she was a big dog)
Jenners - I couldn't have asked them to pose any better!
Pamel - I know you can never get enough snow and snow picture! I'm glad Spanky shares your love.
Quid - The dogs seem to enjoy the cold. They sleep together under our carport despite the fact we have a nice doghouse that would accomdate all of them. They're the first dogs we've had that prefer the carport. Suzy get to sleep in a crate with towels since her coat isn't as thick.
Marion - I bet Cody does love the cold with that thick coat of his!
Bob - We're due to see 70sF next week. Yay! I saw my first robin on Thursday!
I got all excited when we thought we were getting snow. I would have posted lots of pics. I was hoping to post some of a snowman, snow angels...
Jen - Snow in Houston would be an event to blog about!
Great photos.
Funny, but I had expected we´d get snow yesterday (very common for my birthday), but we didn´t get it until today, and just a thin, pretty layer).
I'm jealous that y'all got snow. None for my area. Boo. All the pups look cute. Jed and MD look like guardians or something, looking in opposite directions. I like the snow on Blue dog's coat and Suze doesn't look cold at all!
While we've received more than our normal allotment of snow here in the Ozarks this winter, I'm glad it was snow and not the ice we also often get.
Next time we get some wintry mix, I'll have to check my neighbor's cows' ears for those icicles.
aww, puppies in snow - so cute :)
We don't get much snow here.
What lovely photos! Hope those cute puppies are enjoying the snow.
Big hugs!
B xx
