Are those cucumber seedlings? Pumpkins? Squash?

SOME SAY THAT SHADOWS

Some say that shadows are fragments of light,
Others that they are but pieces of night,
Fleeing like demons when dawn becomes day,
Fearing the radiance coming their way.
Is one notion wrong and one notion right?
Just what are shadows if they are not light?

On second thought, I'm guessing that they are some sort of flower...

New sprouts! Love it. :)

To answer MMT and John.... they are cantaloup seedlings. I usually buy my squash and some of my tomatoes as plants, but I had a package of cantaloup seeds that I decided to try along with my yellow tomatoes. Also planted some moonflower seeds. I have a terribly brown thumb, so we'll see.

Nice shadows - I would never have guessed cantaloupe - but then I have a brown thumb, too, so what do I know? ;-)

Such neat little shadows. I guessed watermelon, but see that they are cantaloupe. We won't be able to start our veggie garden here for a while yet. It snowed today here in N.Idaho while we were walking the dogs! Happy SSS to you.

I wish I could pass the sunlight here in the Philippines to your garden. Great shot of the seedling's shadows. Thanks for the SSS visit.

Hey, that’s a great Shadow Shot! We haven’t had anything particularly worth showing on ShShSu recently so we’ve left it alone, but we will be back – and anyway your photos rather eclipse ours at the moment.
Cantaloupe? You’ve given me an idea…..

Have a good week, Boonie

Brave little seedlings!

We have had the most wonderful spring day today (my younger daughter´s birthday so very appropriate). It was so nice we could sit out of doors.
