Ponderings #5

I would swear I've already had this conversation somewhere online, perhaps even on my own blog, but I can't find it.  So, I'm making it one of my "ponderings".

If you could have a superpower, any superpower, what would it be?

My first thought, as one who's struggled with my weight for years, is to be able to eat anything I want without gaining inches or pounds.  However, that's not really a superpower in the true sense of the word.  Therefore, the superpower I'd most want to have is:

Teleporting

Wouldn't it be great to blink your eyes and be in another place?!  Just think of the potential.  I could visit friends and family at the drop of a hat and still be home in time to cook supper.  I could travel the world.  I wouldn't even have to take luggage since I could teleport home to shower and change clothes.

Give it some thought, or maybe this is something for which you already have an answer.  If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I'd love to be super strong and help damsels in distress. :D

Debbie, Marion... I can see the FBI wanting to put both of you to use!

Joey - You're such a gentleman! :)

Actually, I guess you'd be of more use to the CIA or Military than the FBI. Something covert.

I have always, always wanted to be able to fly. That's still the one.

Flying or time travel could be fun. But understanding the jargon in the tax return guidelines would probably be the most useful superpower.

Have a good weekend, Boonie

Yes, I've often thought teleporting could be a very useful gift. :)

Given my mobility issues teleport transportation would be great. Then again I'd love to be able to communicate with all animals.

It is really funny to read the comments.

Yes, teleporting could be fun. I am happy that I can´t read people´s thoughts, though, because I am sure that would give you a nasty surprise now and then.

I don´t want to be able to read faster than I do, either, because when a book is fantastic, I slow down the speed near the ending to enjoy every word.

Bob - One of my kids always wanted that power...to fly.

Boonie - Now that would certainly be a superpower, wouldn't it!?

EGW - Thanks for coming by and commenting!

Tracy - Dr. Petty Doolittle? I'd love to know what my dogs are saying/thinking.

John - That would be even more of a feat than Boonie's choice!! We're too mysterious. ;)

Dorte - I think you're right... reading someone's thoughts might end up being more of a curse!

Mike - tsk, tsk!! (and depending on where you look, it might not always be pleasant, either!)

Definitely teleporting.

Pamel - We can teleport together, Sis! At least that way I'd get to see you a little more often.

True-- But Boone has a really valid point! Thank the Lord- we got ours in, and can sign at accountants and E-file Monday! We are getting back money, and I thought we may have to pay!

So that might be a cool superpower!!

:-)

Where are the Bass?

Well, you kind of sold me on teleporting now!!! How about each time you teleport, you lose 5 pounds until you reach your ideal weight and then you just stay at that weight!? That sounds just perfect!
