Remember the bones I told you about in my Halloween post*? Well, it turns out they might be a little more significant than we first thought. Keep in mind this is all preliminary - it may take two years or more to get a full forensic report - but, it's possible that the bones date from somewhere around 100-200 A.D.!!
Kind of blows my mind.
* I don't think the link to the newspaper article in the Halloween post is still active. Sorry. Hopefully you linked to it when I originally posted it or can figure out from the comments what it said.

Ah! I am sure there is a great story there. I like many subgenres of crime, and old bones often make for brilliant stories.
Oh WOW!! That's pretty amazing!!!!
Keep me posted!
Kelly,
Thank you for sharing this
with us. It's really amazing.
Regrettably, the link of thenewspaper article is no longer active.

Dorte - I'm afraid we'll never know the real story behind the bones, so I guess that means I can come up with my own using my imagination!
Pamel - Will do, Sis.
Raven - I'm sorry about the link. I hope you were still able to get the gist of it from the comments.
That's just crazy! Makes you wonder what else lies below somewhere you're walking or living!
If there isn't much of that stuff about your area and you are near a big-ish city you could have a money spinner on your hands.
How exciting. Do keep us informed as to any further developments.
Wow that is amazing! I wonder what preserved them?
So they’ll be no good for soup now then?
Have a nice day, Boonie
Claire - you know we have pre-Civil War graves right here at our house, don't you?
Vince - It's actually in a very rural area. There are a number of Indian burial mounds in the general vicinity, but I don't know the dates on those. The Dept. of Heritage sent us some signs we can post that warn folks of the penalites for disturbing the site.
Tracy - I'm afraid by the time we get more info we'll all have forgotten about it!
Debby - No telling how deep they were to start with. I think it all has to do with the soil type, too.
Boonie - Nope. Past their expiration date.
This would be an incredible find. Keep us posted.

Wow!! Those are old bones. I'll be interested to see how this story develops.
This is fascinating !! Keep us posted. Makes me want to dig around my back yard and see what turns up!
