Bella, Bella, Bella!

It's been close to a year now since Bella arrived at our house. She was a puppy at the time, probably around four months old. She hasn't changed much in looks as she's grown..... just filled out and lost some of her wrinkles. Fortunately her chewing problem has improved. For awhile there she destroyed everything she could sink her teeth into! Garden hoses, tail-light hookup on the utility trailer, my garden flag, sprinkler attachments, bottles (both plastic & glass), etc., etc. One day she brought home someone's workboot. It provided her much entertainment for several weeks. Of course she never wanted to chew the toys we provided for that specific purpose. What's the fun in that when you can be naughty instead?

This morning I picked up the phonebook to call the vet about something. Guess what? The page with the vet's number on it was one of the pages she chewed up when the phone company left our phonebook lying next to the door last spring! Hmmm... think she might have been sending us a message??

Bella is ADORABLE!

Hard to get too mad at them when they're so darn cute!

Who could get mad at that sweet face? I love the striped pattern in her coat. Is that typical for a certain breed?

Hey back atcha, Weasley! (wink!)

Linda, the jury is still out on Bella's lineage. There seems to be a general consensus that she has some shar-pei in her, but other than that....who knows? I love her eyes and her sweet disposition. Sometimes I wish I'd gone ahead and made her a house dog (now that the chewing has slacked off). I'm sure Esther and Betty are glad I didn't!

She's gorgeous. I see the shar-pei. Sigh. Miss having a dog....

but the evidence is clear; after more than 3 months I'm down to the remnants of 20+ bites on my legs. Most of the toxicity is gone. They should be healed by January, at this rate.

Goldfish might be good.

Kelly,

Bella is beautiful! And if I remember so correctly, you introduced her to us in one of your posts at Yahoo 360.

The daughter of my cousin recently was given a puppy. And she has a bit of Shih Tzu in her, add to this that she is a whirlwind but truly adorable.

I love your posts about animals. I can tell you really love them. That dog is adorable. I can just imagine a cartoon about her already. ScoobyDoo would be head over heels in love with her!
